Business Operating Model

“A business operating model captures and demonstrates how a business is constructed to deliver value to its stakeholders”

This is the “as is” or current state depiction of how the business operates. It shows what is delivered, how it is delivered, who delivers it, where is it delivered and why or the motivation of the delivery. This confusingly is different to the business model which is more conceptual and doesn’t contain the pragmatic and physical information that we see in an operating model.
